The gap between the old you and the new, emerging YOU, can feel very much like a void, but what is actually happening is you are in the final phase of surrendering your ego self (you) to your Higher Self (YOU), and allowing YOU to take the wheel and propel you into WHO YOU REALLY ARE.

Dedicating what feels like the best years of your life to building and establishing an identity, only to have that sense of yourself dismantled brick by brick, can leave you feeling completely lost and confused about who you are, why you are here, and in a space that can, at best, be described as a void.

The bad news is that is what awakening spiritually can lead to.

The good news is that is what awakening spiritually can lead to, opening up new vistas to being, experiencing, and living as the authentic YOU!

The gap between the old you and the new, emerging YOU, can feel very much like a void, but what is actually happening is you are in the final phase of surrendering your ego self (you) to your Higher Self (YOU), and allowing YOU to take the wheel and propel you into WHO YOU REALLY ARE.

OMG! There's another frightening word to the ego:  SURRENDER

FEAR NOT!

Surrendering and entering the in-between void is far from failure or defeat (despite what your ego is loudly screaming at you!). In fact, it is an act of courage fortified by a healthy dose of trust + awareness of universal truths, and it leads to self-actualizatioin and authentic personal power. Pat yourself on the back for having done the inner work necessary to arrive at this precipice and for being brave enough to take a monumental leap into the void!

Surrendering is necessary to allow YOU the space to step forward, and the void is necesarry to allow YOU to gather aspects of you and reboot, free of limiting beliefs you had about you! Ultimately, it is a win-win, YOU-you partnership, not ego annihilation (which is how your ego may interpret it; hence, the dread, anxiety, and panic attacks you may experience while traversing the void).

THE VOID

Websters Online Dictionary defines "void" as "not occupied, vacant, not inhabited, deserted, containing nothing, idle, leisure, being without something specified, devoid."  What could be more terrifying to one's ego?

This is a pivotal, sacred, divinely-timed moment in your life. Honor it and trust YOU. Much like the chrysalis experience may terrify a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly, the void may terrify your ego. Your job now is to surrender and embrace the void, while nurturing and reassuring your ego, and allowing yourself the time and space you need to emerge on the other side as the exquisite, authentic (beautiful butterfly) YOU!
